Roland Huilcanina Huarhua is originally from the quaint Quechua village of Chincheros. He was able to put himself through higher education, quite an accomplishment given his humble family roots, driven with the inspiration to be an ally for native communities. His passion for his heritage led him to study Anthropology and Law in College. He is now in the final stages of completing his master degree in law, focusing on human rights and ecology. Fluent in his native Quecha tongue, is inspired to serve as a bridge for underprivileged Peruvians. He has worked alongside Paititi Institute since 2014 and was appointed our Executive Director in 2018.
