At the sacred Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Roman offered prayers on behalf of our global Paititi family for peace, healing and the well-being of all beings, with special care for families affected by Nepal’s devastating floods and landslides.

As we begin our two-week Himalayan pilgrimage through the Rasuwa region, near communities deeply affected by the recent disaster, we hope to share reflections and updates whenever connectivity allows. Along the way, we continue to nurture our vision of uniting the elders and children of the world.
Thanks to your generosity, $8,000 has already been raised and delivered in emergency relief through our trusted Himalayan partners. Yet the needs remain urgent, and we are still working toward our initial goal of $10,800.

$8,000 delivered for Nepal emergency relief!
Our global Paititi community has now contributed $8,000 for emergency relief in Nepal: an initial $3,000 transfer, followed by another $5,000 delivered in person. Our fundraising goal remains $10,800, and the campaign continues as the needs on the ground remain urgent.

Watch on YouTubeAfter arriving in Nepal, we experienced a deeply touching moment as we personally delivered another $5,000 in donations, in addition to our earlier $3,000 transfer, bringing the total raised by our global Paititi community to $8,000.
We feel especially blessed to have connected with Ani Tenzin, the senior nun and head of Hasantar Nunnery, who is also Lama Karma Tsultrim Sangpo’s superior. Both served closely alongside our beloved late teacher Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, whose guidance helped inspire Paititi Institute’s founding in 2010.
In the spirit of uniting ancestral wisdom traditions, we honored Ani Tenzin with an alpaca scarf from the Andes instead of a traditional Tibetan khata. Our donations were presented within a Shipibo weaving arranged as a mandala, holding an Andean pouch containing the funds, alongside an Amazonian huayruru seed bracelet symbolizing protection and good fortune.
Roman also gifted Ani la his Amazonian children’s book, Seed of the Heart, which we intend to share with Himalayan families during our pilgrimage. In this video update, we also shared our plans to begin our journey into Nepal’s Rasuwa region, deeply affected by recent floods and landslides, carrying forward our vision of uniting the elders and children of the world.
Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude to everyone who contributed and helped make this possible! Through our collaboration with Lama Karma, Ani Tenzin, the Manang Society Monastery, and Hasantar Nunnery, your generosity is helping bring much-needed relief to families facing these difficult times.

The footage follows prayers and candle offerings at the monastery for those who lost their lives and those still missing, the journey through difficult mountain terrain, and monks gathering in prayer as emergency food is distributed to families in need.

Paititi Institute is organizing this emergency fundraising campaign in direct coordination with Lama Karma Tsultrim Sangpo and the Manang Society Monastery.
Lama Karma served as a close assistant to the late Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, whose guidance and vision helped inspire the establishment of Paititi Institute in 2010. Through these long-standing relationships within our Kagyu lineage, we are able to direct assistance toward the elders, women, children, and families facing the greatest hardship in the affected areas.
Working through trusted local relationships will allow assistance to reach the people who need it with fewer administrative delays. We will share updates about the relief effort, the supplies purchased, and their distribution as the work progresses.
