Mini-documentary · Seed of the Heart

Uniting the Elders and Children of the World

An initiative that began with the Yahua elders in the Amazon and has grown into a movement of workshops and ancestral schools uniting elders and children — in the Amazon, the Andes and beyond. Two minutes on why.

“Paititi”, in Quechua, is an enlightened realm manifested through the awakening of our shared human heart.

Through the awakened spirit of the individual comes the greatest potential for the transformation of the planet. Our work is to demonstrate what is possible through ordinary, grassroots human effort — ancestral wisdom translated into practical and relevant modern circumstances, across healing, land stewardship, community living and social development alike.

Our initiatives fall into five key areas

Preserving & Integrating Ancestral Wisdom

The cumulative wisdom of humanity, containing the essential methods and insights necessary to liberate from the worst suffering, is available today through living millennial lineages from around the world. In our organization the living wisdom lineages of Tibet, the Amazon and the Andes are applied in a direct and experiential way, encouraging each individual to face themselves, find inner peace and remember what it is to be a happy and healthy human being. These are “living wisdom traditions” because it is through each individual bringing this wisdom into daily life that we find genuine transformation beyond conceptual knowledge.

Consciousness Transformation & Evolutionary Healing

We provide a supportive environment through retreats, courses and community living where individuals can safely immerse in the evolutionary journey of self-realization. The skillful means and rites of passage cultivated within such an intentional space allow individuals to realize their unique gifts, qualities and talents, to be embodied in every-day community living. As we collectively move through powerful rites of passage we unearth our creative potential and learn to embody and share our unique gifts in community.

Restoring & Maintaining Health through Traditional & Natural Methods

We utilize Indigenous medicine practices and natural healing modalities from around the world to address sickness and disease on a variety of levels, from psycho-spiritual to somatic. In our experience, this approach addresses the root cause of disease and includes the healing of each individual as a whole rather than merely targeting symptoms. Today, more than any other time in history, we believe the world needs viable models for this type of comprehensive and evolutionary healing.

Earth Stewardship via Eco-regenerative Community Living

We are the stewards of the 1,516-hectare Paititi Biocultural Reserve, a nature sanctuary where our land-based community and retreat center is based. Our center in Peru is a community platform where we can practice to embody a holistic model for the world. We work with permaculture and local ancestral wisdom to support us in stewarding this land in the most conscious way possible.

Conservation & Regeneration of Natural Resources

We are dedicated to the preservation and restoration of our precious natural resources. We work with permaculture and natural farming techniques, creating vibrant local food economies. Our food forests and gardens serve as an educational model and an experiential learning ground for how to live in harmonious relationship with Pachamama (Mother Earth). We also work to support local Peruvian communities in finding fair trade markets for ecological and regenerative products.

“We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. We need not wait to see what others do.”
