Gunnison, CO: Dreamwork, Tea & Creative Evolution

Facilitated by Roman Hanis and Joe Bob Merritt

April 19, 2020

Join us for a very special event at South Main Gunnison in collaboration with Paititi Institute for a journey into the depths of your heart and soul.

Dreams, tea and creative expression are gateways to inner growth, healing, and the subtle mysteries of existence. These gifts from nature are here to help us align to natural flow and intuit the language of life. Through them we can start to unravel the basic archetypes found everywhere in the universe and begin to understand the deeper layers of subconscious communication they offer in our waking and dreaming life.

SHAMANIC / TRANSPERSONAL DREAMWORK:

To decipher dreams, a secret language is introduced in indigenous communities from a very early age. The dream language, or the language of nature as many refer to it, is a poetic language of metaphors, symbols and associations. The ability to point to inner qualities and characteristics using metaphors others can relate to is the very foundation of communication that modern language has developed from. The origins of modern language can be traced back to an animistic way of experiencing the world where mountains, rivers, moon and stars are the living expressions of innate human qualities in harmony with the universe. A number of the Ando-Amazonian tribes to this day maintain their ancestral heritage as a reminder of the evolutionary revelation that gave birth to human culture.

Shamanic/Transpersonal Dreamwork is a method to gain insights and receive communication from the subconscious, guiding towards wholeness, your true essence, and awakening of your highest potential. Dreams are perceived in this context as a communication from our higher selves and an existential key to healing and evolution. This communication serves as an ongoing blueprint for the evolutionary transformation and elevation of quality in our lives.

During the journey, we’ll explore the secret language of dreams from someone in the group with at least 7 of their recent dreams written prior, and is willing to share openly with the group as a means to help all participants recognize this same universal language uniquely communicated by each soul. Throughout our dreams, the collective super-consciousness, aka our true nature, is communicating directly to us by painting the familiar associations and recognizable metaphors from our life experience. It’s an innate art of consciousness transformation.

THE ART of TEA:

Together, as we immerse into the world of our dreams, we’ll drink a few rare teas in series, each of which will shift our awareness, open and take us to new places within the Higher Self. Like drinking a song, each tea is a note and stringing the notes together produces a beautiful journey through the vibrations of Self and Nature. “Tea is a plant that helps humans have a visceral experience of both their humanity and their divinity and how to move through this life embracing both as sacred.”

THE ART of CREATIVE EXPRESSION:

Throughout the Dreamwork session although we work with one person’s dreams. However, the messages that come through within the group are relevant to each person’s journey in a unique way. While we engage in the unfolding messages of the dream language, each participant will be encouraged to relate to these messages through drawing. There’s no right or wrong way to do this and no artistic experience is necessary. Just the flow of presence. Drawing supplies will be provided.

DREAMWORK: CREATIVE EXPRESSION: THE WORK OF ART:

One can not communicate unless one can articulate. We converse with one another and with our self via stories drawn in languages composed of articles and artifacts. In order to express a work of art, in order to articulate and communicate an experience or an idea, we must work to render the experience/idea into a material form. Its often a challenge to transfer one’s interiority into a comprehensible external form. We often don’t know where to start. In this part of the event, a surrealist technique called “decalcomania” will be taught, providing participants with a way to begin the work of articulating images by first creating a space out of which images may be arise and thus be drawn out and expressed into form.
